He Is Risen!

I find it sad that the true meaning of Easter seems lost these days with the over commercialization of this sacred holiday. This year, armed with my newly acquired and very limited cookie-decorating 'skills', I am giving out these Christ-centered treats to my sons' classmates as visual reminders of the resurrection of our Saviour.

Happy Easter, pallies!

  3. What a great way of getting kids thinking about the true meaning of Easter. Your cookies are so visually appealing for kids and adults alike ... what do you mean 'limited' skills - you're amazing! Sending huge Easter wishes to you, Veronica :) xxx

  6. Thanks for visiting my blog (A Bench with a View) and your comment. Yes, indeed He is Risen!)

Good idea with the treats you made for your son's classmates. I too agree with your thoughts that this most joyous of days has taken on totally other meanings and intents so far away from the great news we are celebrating!

May you have a joyous day!

  7. Happy Easter! Me and my mom are also learning how to decorate cakes.

And I do find it sad that the meaning of this weekend gets lost in all the bunnies and chicks.
